Fall is in the Air

The town of Omen carried about its business as usual. The air seemed crisper and chillier. But for those with the watchful eye, could tell the people of Omen seemed to scurry about quicker. Animals seemed more on edge.

Faithful animal companions turned away from their masters fleeing for the forests and nearest hiding places. No amount of powers would sway them otherwise. They clearly sensed something that others did not.

In the small areas where those affected by the land turned into screaming fiends. The people would start screaming that the shadow man is coming. The shadow man is here.

When you are interested in something, at a merchants, you can almost think you see something in the corner of your eye. But when you look the figure is gone…

Each night as October nears its end makes your hair stand more on end. Each day leaves you feeling more at ill ease. But why you do not know.

Over the last several weeks there has been an increase in wolf sightings around the town of Omen. Some rumors believe with the increase in animals running from the town into the forest has brought these predators ever closer to the town. Others speak of ill happenings and sightings of these wolves actually within the walls of Omen searching around for food. Some even go as to worry about what game will be left in the forests to feed the people, if the wolves are coming into town to find food.

One thing is certain most of these wolves seem slightly different then you would expect, they do not shy away from people or the fire lit streets. Some can be seen scrounging through the garbage bins looking for left over food bits.

Rumors have also gathered that there as been a slight increase in white wolves in the area, something not common to this area of the world. Where are they coming from, and why are they here, so far the guard seems to be hesitant about approaching them, and seem content to leave them alone or just chase them off should they venture to close to people they shouldn't.

No attacks have been reported yet, though people may worry that its just a matter of time...

On a separate note, rumors of many new faces have been seen around the town of Omen lately. Word has spread of several major shipwrecks around the island that have left people stranded. Some of strange decent and origin have been seen obtaining rooms at the inn, or shopping in the markets. Many seem to be content to be left alone, and seem to be waiting for ships to arrive to take them off the island.

This wouldn't be such a problem for the small town of Omen normally, but rumors have also fluttered into town of boats being burned or set ablaze in the dock area. Whoever or whatever is responsible for this is still unknown.
